1. DO YOU HAVE TO BE A MILITARY SPOUSE TO ATTEND?
Yes and no, you must be a spouse of active duty, retired, reserves or gold star spouses. We do make exceptions for active duty and Department of Defense employees. Exceptions are taken on as a case by case basis and decisions are carried out by the President and executive board.
2. CAN I VOLUNTEER?
5. WILL LUNCH BE PROVIDED?
Yes, lunch will be provided on all three days of the seminar. When completing your registration, please be sure to indicate any dietary restrictions so we can accommodate your needs.
​6. WHAT DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?
Absolutely nothing! Attending Desert Leadership Seminar is completely free for all participants. Thanks to our generous sponsors and supporters, we are able to provide this transformative experience at no cost to you. All you have to do is register and show up ready to grow, connect, and be inspired!
If you have graduated from a previous Desert Leadership Seminar or from a sister seminar in Okinawa, Camp Lejeune or Camp Pendleton, then yes we would be thrilled to have you volunteer!
​If you have not graduated from a seminar, you would need to attend and graduate to be eligible to volunteer!
7. WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Yes! We are always looking for sponsors to help us fund our military spouse seminar. For more information, please click the 'Sponsor' tab and select 'Learn More' to fill out an interest form.
4. DO YOU HAVE TO ATTEND ALL 3 DAYS OF THE SEMINAR?
Yes, in order to graduate from the Desert Leadership Seminar, you must attend all 3 days.
The dress code for the seminar is business casual. This includes options such as blouses, slacks, skirts, dress pants, polos, and summer dresses. If you don’t have all the traditional business casual pieces, that’s okay! We encourage attendees to dress in a way that is both comfortable and professional. We kindly ask that t-shirts, leggings, and overly casual attire be avoided to maintain a polished atmosphere.
8. WILL THERE BE CHILDCARE ?
Yes! Childcare is provided free of charge for attendees. It will be available on the floor above the seminar venue, ensuring that your little ones are well taken care of while you participate in the seminar.
